Turkey Tracks Chore

This piece gets its name from the vintage quilt square pocket. The square has “turkey tracks” embroidered on the pocket and I thought it was just too charming not to include. Although I like to think that the person who quilted the square was inspired after an afternoon walk in the snow where they saw the remnants of a flock of turkeys, this quilting pattern is lovingly referred to by the same name. You may notice that the shape resembles the print left behind by a turkeys foot.

This chore coat has a classic overlapping front that is held close by cream ties at the waist. The front is kept simple with square edges and small slits at each side seam.
